Ambergris Caye (the beach) and San Ignacio (the jungle) are only a hop, skip, and a jump away from each other and it is more than possible to do both dramatically different locations in the same vacation.

Note: as of July 2021 land borders between Belize and Guatemala are closed, even if you’re planning on crossing over for a few hours with an organized tour group. There are several scams out there that are allowing unsuspecting tourists to book (and pay for) trips from San Ignacio to Guatemala, only to find out later that they are nonrefundable.
